**A Rainy Day in New York City's Central Park Conservatory: A Love Story**
As the song goes, "A rainy night in Georgia, Lord, I believe it's raining all over the world." On this particular day in New York City, as the engagement photo shoot by NYC Wedding Photographer Donn Thompson was underway, it truly felt like it was raining everywhere!
The lovely couple, Tyrese and Dekeyah, were determined to commemorate their engagement, regardless of the weather. It seemed like the rain intensified as we walked through the Vanderbilt Gates, but nothing could stop us from capturing those moments on that rainy day in Central Park. We carefully and creatively told their love story under the pouring rain in the six-acre Conservatory Garden, located between Fifth Avenue and 105th Street.
The garden looked incredible under a dark, hazy blue sky, surrounded by lush, wet greenery. The grey slated walkways were scattered with just enough leaves to create a makeshift carpet, while the benches were also adorned with leaves, transforming the garden into a romantic scene straight out of a movie.
New York City Wedding Photographer, Donn Thompson, Perfect Moment
Having that black umbrella in my car trunk proved to be invaluable. With rain pouring down, it became essential to protect our shots. I encouraged Tyrese to hold Dekeyah closer to keep her safe and warm in the cold, breezy weather. Dekeyah's love was palpable, much like the rain—it was everywhere as she hung on to Tyrese's every move.
That black umbrella I had lying in my car trunk for so long was the perfect tool to have for the moment. Nowhere was safe from the rain. The water dripping from the umbrella helped make the shots as I tried to get Tyrese to hold Dekeyah closer, keeping her safe and warm in the cold, breezy weather, while Dekeyah's love was like the rain. It was everywhere as she hung onto Tyrese's every move.
